I'm very passionate about editing and proofreading. I am a part time worker so I have plenty of free time to edit. I am actually currently awaiting admission from college.
When I edit a large document I place myself as a reader to get a sense of overall structure and flow. I then go through each paragraph and sentence, paying attention to grammar and punctuation errors. I also make sure that the writing is clear, concise and consistent. I find that using a checklist of common mistakes, such as subject-verb agreement errors and comma splices helps me catch errors quickly and efficiently. I also love to read books and articles as it's part of my hobbies.
I am not exactly new to this because I helped assist my sister proofread and edit articles which she posted. I am also very familiar with Microsoft Word.
In conclusion, I am confident in my ability to edit large volumes of text quickly and accurately. I am very passionate about the editing process and I love to help produce clear, error-free documents.
