I'll read all your documents, scan them for any mistakes,correct them ,and read again to make sure nothing escapes.Then I'll come back to it again and read it with a sort of distance to make sure my vision isn't biased.Hopefully,your last version will be flawless,immaculate and perfect.
For my experience, I used to proofread my younger sister's writings,and when she handed them over to her teacher,the results were amazing,she always got the first grades!
We also used to do it as an exercise in my previous school.We used to exchange copies and correct each others' mistakes and then pass them to the next person to check twice.This way,we avoided cheating in correcting one's own copy and also made sure we honed our proofreading skills.It helped us look for the tiny mistakes,for the punctuation,and in french,for accents.
