The entire district of bakura, west Bengal faced heavy rain fall for hours this week. More than five villages were flooded and over five lakh people were affected. The flood was mainly caused due to the increased level of water in the damondar the areas drainedby the river were affected badly as most of the land went under water. The government had announced that people who were severely affected by the flood would be given monetary assistance.
