It's me, Suman. I'm 24 years old. I'm a graduate student, and thought why not utilize my spare time somewhere I can earn. And, I;ve been working as a translator for a year. I am a freelance business, conference & diplomatic interpreter, and I am a freelance translator. And I think it’s fairly safe to say that I have become rather attached to the many advantages the freelancer lifestyle has to offer.
For one thing, I love the freedom that comes with. Traveling, photography and the opportunity to discover new destinations and experiment with new recipes tend to make it all the more worth it, as do the people I get to meet along the way, and the friendships I get to enjoy.
I am a good listener, and I my travels and professional experience have taught me a lot about communication, its different goals, and how to make it work. And I always do my best to make it work.
Your goal is to understand and be understood. Your meeting needs to go well, and your negotiations have to be a success. If more than one language is at play, this is where I come in. This is where I can help.As a conference interpreter I work between English and Russian, as well as from French into Russian and English in business, conference, and diplomatic contexts.
With more than 10 years of experience in the field, I have worked for governments, international organisations, NGOs and CSOs, as well as major media outlets and private businesses, and have become a firm believer in the idea that in this line of work it’s never ‘just’ about the words.
